Women’s Conference 2025

“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”

Ephesians 4:29

We are thankful to announce our 8th Annual URC of PEI Women’s Conference. The conference will take place, Lord willing, Friday, April 4th and Saturday, April 5th. This year’s theme is Servanthood, Safely Living Under God’s Excellent Care.  Our speakers this year are Dr. Arjan de Visser and his wife Inge from Ontario.

Dr. Arjan de Visser was born in the Netherlands, where he attended elementary school. Then, later studied in South Africa for high school. He returned to the Netherlands for seminary studies in Kampen. In 1989, he moved back to South Africa to serve as a missionary among Sotho-speaking people. In 2004, he was appointed as a professor of Ministry and Mission at the Canadian Reformed Theological Seminary in Hamilton, Ontario, retiring in 2023.

Inge (Oostdijk) de Visser was raised in the Netherlands. After starting out as a Kindergarten teacher and doing post-graduate studies in pedagogy, she served as a lecturer at the Reformed Teachers College (PABO) in Zwolle and the Evangelische Hogeschool in Amersfoort. In her spare time, she was very active in evangelism. She wrote several books on faith education, including the well-known “Come with me” series. She moved to South Africa for her marriage with Arjan de Visser. Together with her husband, she founded a Christian elementary school on the mission field. After coming to Canada in 2004, she taught full-time and part-time in various Christian schools in southern Ontario. The de Vissers have been blessed with three children and seven grandchildren.
